[IN] No geometry imported - Xrefs in CAD Software

1. Topic

In some cases, users report that they cannot see their geometry in Lumion, even though there is geometry in the document.

 

2. Information

There are a few situations when this happens and the CAD model needs to be requested to check this:

  1. The geometry is part of an Xref that is not embedded (the Xref needs to be bound to the file)
  2. The geometry is on .SHX or .SHP file that is not being converted to 3D faces (these files also need to be bound or embedded in the file)
  3. The geometry is too far away from the World Origin (here, it simply needs to be moved closer
  4. There is only 2D geometry and no 3D information (in this situation, there is nothing for Lumion to import)
